Senior UI/UX Designer, Design Systems
Every product outgrows its design system. I build design systems and design tools that grow with it, and use AI tools to keep them adopted and in sync across multiple apps.
13 years of experience, including 10 years as founding designer and nearly 3 years as Lead UI/UX Designer.
I work closest to PMs and engineers. I turn specs and business logic into live prototypes, then ship the frontend myself as the designer on each feature. I work with engineers to ensure guardrails are in place so I can contribute safe, production-grade work to the codebase.
I'm self-taught - I've learned a lot from my design heroes, but I don't blindly follow them. I put them into practice and take whatever works for me at that time. My design intuition comes from what I've delivered and what didn't work, given the resources at hand.
Outside work - I'm a music lover and a coffee drinker. I love taking notes on everything, I like to call it an excercise of brain dumping. I love hats, but specifically baseball, and beanies (not sure if they are considered hats).
AI agents kept making the same small design mistakes, and I fixed every one by hand. I built a check that catches them first: 12 automatic rules that were right every time, and an AI reviewer that was right 96.9% of the time.
Screenshots and Figma files left engineers and AI agents guessing at every gap and component. I rebuilt our designs as real pages in the product's own code. The catalog reached 100 pages and 41 modals, and 29 pages and 24 modals have moved into QA.
Fake bookings sent MiCab drivers to pickups with nobody there, and a burned driver often took no request for the rest of the day. I could not stop the fakes, so I changed who gets the next request. Drivers burned by a fake booking more than doubled their MiCab trips, from 2 a day at most to about 5.
